Design Idea: Designer's Office
Heritage Arch in Natural
The wall unit is constructed from a combination of a standard W3036 wall cabinet, a BU2454
bookshelf unit and a lengthened WC654 wine cubby.
The desk unit is created from a DHBD18 three drawer cabinet, a standard
DHB18R cabinet and a WD2424R corner diagonal wall cabinet with plywood
ends and an added toe kick.
Two major units form the core of this designers office which could
nicely fit on a straight wall or tuck into a corner. Additional counter
space is created by placing the keyboard tray on an angle.
- Convert a VSD27 single drawer into a drop-down slide-out keyboard tray
that hides nicely when not in use.
- Add antique stipple swirl pulls and knobs from the Premier Collection
(P-3 & P-4).
- Create a message/dry-erase/bulletin board center from two FF2130 face
frames. Attach the CW cabinet doors with piano hinges.
- Used vertically the WC654 wine cubby makes an excellent place to hold
plans, drawings and other rolled up items. Just lengthen to match the
height of the bookshelf unit.
- Use light baffle molding to finish the top of the wall unit. Can also
be used on the bottom of the wall cabinet to hide task lighting.
- Side panels (SP2484) create legs and knee space.
